Personal Update: New Beginnings

What a great time to live. I'm breathing the fresh air coming in my window as i wrap up a long day of staring into my computer screen. I can't even begin to really put into words the range of emotions Melissa and I have experienced over the last few weeks. All this to say: We're so full of life. If you don't mind, I'd like to share some personal updates on some of the exciting things happening in Melissa and I's life.

There's so much going on, so I think I'll give you the highlight reel and fill the gaps through future postings. The long and short of it is simply this, Melissa and I have decided to expand our pursuit of the Apostolic call on our lives. What does that mean? Well, that's a great question. With Pastor Loren sensing a direction change in young adult ministry (what has become 4:12 Exposed, check it out if you haven't) and wanting to empower others within the church to be the energy behind it, it became an opportunity for us to begin to consider the timing of the Lord to pursue some enlarged concepts. As Generation One was coming to a close, we pursued the Lord heavily for His direction and what He was speaking for this time. WMUZ was something that pursued me and totally caught me off guard. Considering the timing of it, I pressed on the door to see if that was the Lord and currently seems to be not what was in store.

As these doors have closed, we've known a few things: We're called to the body of Christ as a whole. The Lord spoke to me in March of this year that a season of enlargement was in front of us and we would see a dramatic shift in the impact of our ministry this year. I never thought the story would be told like it is, but isn't that life in the kingdom? So, this call is embodied by these thoughts... To be IN the world and not be of it. To embrace a leadership role within the body of Christ that transcends our corporate gatherings alone, but strives to impact culture in the highest places of influence. Communities, Cities, Nations and Culture. Reclaiming our call to lead all things. If you know me, you know that my experiences in ministry have taken me down many paths and mediums of communicating this message. Performing, Speaking, Counseling and Outreach to name a few. I see all of these elements playing a role in my future in some capacity. It's time to see our desire for a victorious church a reality. On earth as it is in heaven. This is the will of the Father and my desire to be apart of demonstrating this in my life, is driving these decisions.

In the immediate future I will be seeking the chance to share this message of a cultural leading, victorious church. I'll prayerfully consider all opportunities. There are a few other components we are waiting for direction on that will create the complete picture of this season. This is a huge risk as we've needed to move on from my full time staff commitment at the church and enlist as a volunteer to allow time to follow these new pursuits. Your support is needed tremendously. We need people who believe in us to continue to encourage, to speak life and believe in the fullness of what it means to people who walk by faith. We look forward to all that is ahead. What a great journey it is that we all have the chance to partake in. Please stay in touch. Love you all and appreciate your prayer and support.
